Static architecture for compressive motion detection in persistent, pervasive surveillance applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
High-resolution, wide-field-of-view airborne imaging produces large optical systems and data streams. Significant simplification is possible if motion detection, rather than full imaging, is the goal. We consider a static, compressive-sensing architecture for this problem. c © 2010 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (110.1758) Computational imaging; (110.4153) Motion estimation and optical flow

A Coded Aperture Compressive Imaging Array and Its Visual Detection and Tracking Algorithms for Surveillance Systems
In this paper, we propose an application of a compressive imaging system to the problem of wide-area video surveillance systems. A parallel coded aperture compressive imaging system is proposed to reduce the needed high resolution coded mask requirements and facilitate the storage of the projection matrix. Random Gaussian, Toeplitz and binary phase coded masks are utilized to obtain the compre...
متن کاملTraffic Scene Analysis using Hierarchical Sparse Topical Coding
Analyzing motion patterns in traffic videos can be exploited directly to generate high-level descriptions of the video contents. Such descriptions may further be employed in different traffic applications such as traffic phase detection and abnormal event detection. One of the most recent and successful unsupervised methods for complex traffic scene analysis is based on topic models. In this pa...
متن کاملMemory Efficient VLSI Implementation of Real-Time Motion Detection System Using FPGA Platform
Motion detection is the heart of a potentially complex automated video surveillance system, intended to be used as a standalone system. Therefore, in addition to being accurate and robust, a successful motion detection technique must also be economical in the use of computational resources on selected FPGA development platform. This is because many other complex algorithms of an automated video...
متن کاملStatic compressive tracking.
This paper presents the Static Computational Optical Undersampled Tracker (SCOUT), an architecture for compressive motion tracking systems. The architecture uses compressive sensing techniques to track moving targets at significantly higher resolution than the detector array, allowing for low cost, low weight design and a significant reduction in data storage and bandwidth requirements. Using t...
متن کاملFast Human Detection Using Motion Detection and Histogram of Oriented Gradients
This paper presents a real-time Human detection algorithm based on HOG (Histograms of Oriented Gradients) features and SVM (Support Vector Machine) architecture. Motion detection is used to extract moving regions, which can be scanned by sliding windows; detecting moving region can subtract unnecessary sliding windows of static background regions under the surveillance conditions, then detectio...
